What is Invisalign?

Invisalign are clear plastic aligners that fit right over your teeth to correct orthodontic issues with your smile. The aligners’ design is customized to your personal treatment plan and they change with you. You wear a different set of aligners from week to week as they shift your teeth into an optimal position.

What is involved in getting Invisalign?

If your smile goals can be achieved with Invisalign, you’ll be scheduled for a special 3D scan of your mouth. From this scan, a team member creates a treatment plan and sends all the information to the Invisalign lab to create the aligners. 

When the aligners come in, you meet with the team at Esthetic Partners Dental Group to discuss how to use them. You receive a series of aligners and your treatment manager explains how to switch to a new set each week. Plan to wear Invisalign for about 20 hours each day, even when you’re sleeping, to get good results. 

You’ll come in for regular check-in appointments every six weeks or so to ensure you’re complying with the plan and that the aligners are doing their job. The length of your treatment plan depends on your particular orthodontic concerns and how much your smile needs to be transformed. Treatment could last anywhere from several months to a year or longer.
